LASTING POWER OF ATTORNEY

Why do I need a Will ?

If you do not have a Will or the Will you have is not valid then you are classed as INTESTATE

In essence if you die without a will, the law says who gets what.

The rules of intestacy specify a rigid order of who should benefit from the estate of an intestate person

What is a TRUST

A trust is a way of managing assets (money, investments, land or buildings) for people. There are different types of trusts and they are taxed differently.

Register lasting Power of Attorney

A lasting power of attorney (LPA) is a legal document that lets you (the ‘donor’) appoint one or more people (known as ‘attorneys’) to help you make decisions or to make decisions on your behalf.

This gives you more control over what happens to you if you have an accident or an illness and can’t make your own decisions (you ‘lack mental capacity’).
